I have been working with Baldwin Living for 2 years 10 months. The best part of my job is the ability to manage a community that will benefit the residents at Northside, from seeing them socialising to watching them enjoy new experiences. I have been employed by Baldwin Living Vaucluse Gardens for over a decade. During that period, I have been involved in village maintenance and project managing home refurbishments.
While I enjoy building homes, building and maintaining strong relationships with village residents trumps it all. I gain satisfaction from helping them with their day-to-day maintenance requests to the best of my ability. Sometimes it is as simple as changing a light globe, to more serious problems for instance like a water leak. I am often reminded that a friendly chat can help them to feel valued and make a difference to their day (and mine).
I enjoy the responsibility of arranging unit refurbishments. I find it extremely rewarding to design spaces that allow our incoming residents to enjoy their retirement years to the fullest. I have formed many friendships with fellow staff members, and believe we have a strong and caring team. Overall, Vaucluse Gardens is a fulfilling place to work.
