Baldwin Care Group Acquires Lifestyle Estate Village - Victoria

Baldwin Living has today acquired Lifestyle Estate village in Dingley Village, Victoria - a boutique retirement village consisting of 52 ILUs. This brings the total number of properties to 7, and adds to their existing villages in Brisbane, Gold Coast, Sydney and Hobart.

The village which will be known as Baldwin Living Spring Gardens was owned and operated by Australian Lifecare Developments, who have exited the retirement industry to focus on their core business.

“We were looking for a village that would fit with our current portfolio, allowing us to provide even greater choice for seniors on the East Coast of Australia”, said Baldwin Living CEO, Paul Burkett.

“Baldwin Living Spring Gardens provides a great range of facilities to residents and we can enhance the community by offering our wide range of in home and resident services.”

Last year was a big one for Baldwin Living and 2018 has started just as strongly. Just some of the other developments were:

  • The sale of the last aged care facility - Ashley House, Roseville which marked the end of the groups ownership of aged care after nearly 50 years in the sector
  • The rebrand from Baldwin Care Group to Baldwin Living which reflects the new focus on retirement living and the newly created Baldwin HomeServe.
  • The development of stage 3 & 4 of our Gold Coast Village at Upper Coomera was commenced and completed in 2017, adding additional 21 three bedroom villas to the group. Sales have been very strong with over 60% of the project sold since completion in December.

“Growing the Baldwin Living group whilst retaining the boutique feel of the villages is one of our key strategies and the acquisition of this Melbourne village embodies that,” Burkett said.

Baldwin Living Seabeach Gardens and Regal Home Health Partner for a Unique Wisdom Exchange

Baldwin Living Seabeach Gardens will this Thursday host a Unique Wisdom Exchange with residents, with the ultimate aim to create a stronger and more vibrant senior community.

Partnering with Regal Home Health, the exchange will focus on how to build resilience in health and wellbeing.

During the Exchange, residents will be able to exchange wisdoms about experiences and pursuits that add value and purpose to their community.

According to Baldwin Living CEO, Paul Burkett, “we anticipate that the outcome of this exchange will be that we build engaged community based on the support we and they can give each other to be stronger, happier and healthier.”

The Wisdom Exchange takes place on Thursday 23rd November 2017 from 10.00 am at the Dining Room of Seabeach Gardens.

Baldwin Care Group announces the Sale of Ashley House

Baldwin Care Group (BCG) has announced the sale of Ashley House aged care facility in Roseville NSW to Pathways Residences.

With the focus now on growing their retirement business in TAS, NSW and QLD and promoting their newly granted CDC licence, Baldwin Care Group continues to expand with development commencing on their Gold Coast village, and the group looking at purchasing additional villages in 2017.

The sale of Ashley House to Pathways Residences marks the end of the group owning and operating aged care.

Ashley House, a heritage listed building, was purchased by the founder of Baldwin Care in 1963 by the late, Tony Baldwin. Since then the site has transformed into an aged care facility and boutique retirement village.

Paul Burkett, CEO of BCG said that it was a difficult decision to sell, after the company had more than 50 years’ connection with Ashley House.

“We believe that Pathways is the perfect aged care operator to take this facility into the future.”

“Moving forward we will be looking at revised branding to reflect our family owned, boutique retirement company providing over 30 years of seniors living to the Australian market,” he said.

Baldwin Living Northside Craft Group

Baldwin Living Northside Craft Group

Every Saturday the residents and some guests get together to get creative!

The endless clicking of knitting needles and the happy chitter chatter of the group has become a core activity on our social calendar but has also made a significant contribution to some local charities & organisations.

Craft giveaways have been given to the following Charities between April – November 2016:

Kairos, Cherbourg, ‘139 club’, Blucare , Carinity Care, Salvation Army, Lifeline, Share the Dignity, Hospitals, RSPCA.

This year alone 355 items have been crafted by our dedicated group of residents and over 1500 items in total since the group formed!

Congratulations to you all and thank you for all your hard work and efforts in helping those in the local communities in times of need.

In addition to the craft group the residents here at Northside also gave generously to another charity recently.  As a result of all your donations we were able to create 15 Handbags full of toiletries designed to be given out to women in need over the Christmas period through the charity, Share the Dignity. Again, this is another example of the kind and caring nature of our community here at the village.

Happy knitting Northside residents!!

Money was raised for more wool for the Baldwin Living Northside craft group who have made and donated over 1000 items to Wrap with Love, Guardian and other charities over the years.
